Tuesday 29th September 2015
In January 2016 the new version of PebblePad will be available to our Australian customers, together with two great new features – dashboard functionality and Flourish. This new version moves PebblePad into the HTML5 environment, into a single page application (SPA), and is built on mobile first design principles.
If you would like to be amongst the first in Australia to see, hear about, and play with this next generation PebblePad, register to attend this workshop NOW. The day will be a combination of demonstrations by PebblePad consultants and opportunities for participants to road test the features of the new version.
Who should attend?
This workshop is aimed primarily at staff who currently use PebblePad with their students or support other staff in their use of PebblePad. The focus will be on introducing participants to the changes and new functionality that PebblePad SPA will bring.
Non-PebblePad users are welcome to attend on the understanding that knowledge of PebblePad basics will be assumed and not covered on the day.
What to bring?
PebblePad SPA will work on any device with internet connectivity. The workshop will be conducted in a computer lab with computers available for use but you are also welcome to BYOD if you would like to test the versatility of the new version.
Cost: $95 (incl GST)
NB: Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Date: Tuesday 29th September 2015 Location: Edith Cowan University, Joondalup, WA, Australia Link: http://pebblepad.co.uk/seminars/spaau0915/
Tuesday 17th November 2015 - Thursday 10th December 2015
Based on feedback from the spring '15 user groups, this winter's gatherings will be more "workshoppy" than ever before, providing the perfect opportunity to mingle, network, share, create, ponder, fine-tune ideas, and of course – eat cake (as well as the chance to sneak a peek at PebblePad5).
Each of the user groups will be made up of guided workshops and activities, presentations from existing users, and plenty of opportunities for tea drinking and networking. In short, you'll leave the user group considerably more knowledgeable and chirpy than when you arrived.
For those attending the event at PebblePad HQ, there's also the chance to tour our offices, and meet the team.
Since we're all about personal learning, once you're registered for a user group we'll be sending out a fact-finding activity so that you can tell us what you'd like to get from the day.
The user groups will be all about sharing experiences and learning from others (from ideas specific to PebblePad through to overcoming general organisational and technology challenges) and so the event will benefit both experienced users and those new to PebblePad. Learning Technologists, Lecturers, Administrators, Heads of School, Heads of eLearning, Project Managers, and those responsible for careers and staff development have made it along to previous events, but this is by no means an exhaustive list.
Date: Tuesday 17th November 2015 - Thursday 10th December 2015 Location: see website Link: http://www.pebblepad.co.uk/seminars/sem122015/
Wednesday 2nd December 2015
The role of technology in developing future ready learners is explored by a cast of expert practitioners and thinkers each of whom professionally navigates the employability, graduateness and technology nexus.
Specifically the programme features contributions from presenters representing institution-wide approaches; innovative curriculum development; employer engagement, graduate recruitment and national research projects.
This event is aimed at those with responsibility for promoting future readiness, for example through embedding employability within the curriculum, innovation in careers and destination services, and for practitioners and managers developing strategy and practice around graduate attributes, awards programmes and other future ready curriculum innovations.
The event will provide an opportunity to consider the practices of others and to reflect upon their applicability in the delegate’s own context. Principally this is an event for sharing interesting and innovative practice with technology.
This is a PebblePad Future Ready event – not an event about PebblePad.

Monday 12th September 2016 - Wednesday 14th September 2016
The idea of future readiness will form the overarching theme for PebbleBash '16. We imagine this term will mean different things to different people (and that’s great) but if we were asked to sum up what it means to us, we’d have to say it’s all about how organisations support and fully prepare graduates and employees for a changing and ever more competitive world.
We always have big expectations for PebbleBash and this year will be no different. The roaring success of previous conferences means that we know for sure that the conference will be big on fun and big on brilliant ideas from experts and practitioners from across the globe.
For more information and details on the programme, pricing and paper submissions visit the PebbleBash website.
