A museum is an institution, open to the general public, which acquires conserves and exhibits for both education and leisure. It has a great importance in the life of people as a museum is a source of learning to increase one's knowledge.
In the first place, a visit at the Imperial War Museum, in Manchester, is valuable to learn more about war occurred in the world. Images, videos clips, weapons and much more are exhibited to visitors. One can know more about World War One and Two. Testimonials of victims, soldiers, as well as members of victims are also available.
In addition, the Wolverhampton Art Gallery, situated at Lichfield Street, is presenting the Northern Ireland Collection. The works exhibited is of different medium, for instance, painting, collage, photography and installation. This exhibition has started since 20th November and run till January 2008. Moreover, the Wolverhampton Art Gallery is reputed for collecting artwork of social and political importance.
Besides, Patrick Hughes is exhibiting Superduperspective at the Birmingham Art Gallery, Waterhall. The works exposed as well as the décor are all done in perspective and will be open to the public from 7 October 2006 to 18 February 2007. At the Gas Hall in the Birmingham Art Gallery, silver creations are exhibited by Contemporary Silver Goldsmith. The exhibition is from currently been held till 14th of January.
