Australian PebblePad User Group (APpUG) Face-to-face Meetings
APpUG Face-to-face Meetings
The APpUG aims to conduct at least two face-to-face meetings each calendar year. These meetings are typically hosted by one of the institutions using PebblePad and then video-linked to other venues upon request. For example, the July 2010 meeting was hosted by Flinders University in Adelaide and then linked by video conference to 11 other sites around the country. This enabled more than 60 people from Western Australia through to Tasmania to be involved. Recordings of this meeting can be accessed from the APpUG Webfolio.
A major aim of the User Group meetings is to raise awareness of the use of PebblePad around Australia and facilitate collaboration amongst practitioners. They also encourage colleagues (across institutions or within the one institution) to come together to discuss eportfolio and PebblePad practice. While the Online Meetings provide a forum for intensive discussion about a single topic, the face-to-face meetings aim to facilitate broader discussion, sharing of information and resources, and an opportunity to identify areas of common interest or concern. Topics for Online Meetings will often arise from the face-to-face meetings.
